Marty Ostendorf
President, ASI-U.S.
With over 35 years of experience in production, publishing, and sourcing solutions, Marty is the president and owner of ASI. He has worked with a variety of clients, including both large and small publishers, printers, associations, universities, editorial development houses, and many more. In addition to overseeing the overall development of the company, Marty still plays a key role in the day-to-day operations and ensuring customer satisfaction with all our clients. His leadership in publishing and workflow solutions has provided growth opportunities for both ASI and its clients and partners.
Teresa Exley
Vice President, ASI-U.S.
With over 30 years of experience, Teresa has worked on a variety of titles in the world of publishing. From large medical books to educational textbooks to recurring journals to specialty publications, Teresa has successfully managed all aspects of production while maintaining long-term relationships with key clients. Teresa’s vast experience has enabled her to thrive and adapt in the every-changing world of publishing, and her contributions have been key to the long-standing success of ASI.
Danny Piano
President, ASI—Philippines
With degrees in engineering and post-graduate business management, Danny has vast experience in computer technology, starting as a mainframe systems programmer for the U.S. Navy in the early ‘80s where he specialized in enterprise-class applications programming. He joined ASI in 1995 as a Systems Manager and was the first employee in its Philippine facility. He was promoted to Operations Manager and later to President of ASI’s Philippine Branch. Aside from overseeing the offshore facility and making sure that it operates at its optimum, Danny is also directly involved in evaluating new technologies that can potentially make ASI more efficient and relevant. He also served as President of the local Chamber of Commerce, where ASI is an elite member, for five years.
Lalaine Gamboa
Vice President, ASI—Philippines
An accounting graduate, Lalaine has worked as accountant for the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Stars and Stripes and as chief auditor for a local group of companies. She first joined Absolute Service as Finance Manager in 1995 and was later promoted to Vice President. She has been involved in both the financial and operational side of ASI’s production facility. Her dedication and willingness to work long hours to complete projects on time, along with her oversight of our QA/QC procedures, have been instrumental to the success of ASI.
Restie Perona
Senior Programmer, ASI-U.S.
With a degree in accounting and a background in computer programming and database management, Restie originally started with ASI in the company’s first year, joining the team in the Philippines where he was quickly promoted to shift supervisor. While finishing his education, Restie showed the drive and ambition to grow with the company, and in June of 2002 he moved to the United States. Upon arrival, he began focusing on growing the company’s new XML and batch pagination divisions and worked with technology partners to help facilitate this. Within less than 10 years, he now oversees the batch pagination and database programming division and works directly with clients on specialized projects utilizing these needed services. He still returns to the Philippines to work and train with team members and further the global growth of ASI.
